Coping with Bullying: Resources @ the Library 

 

Do you need information about bullying? Here are resources on how to talk with your child about bullying, and how to deal with bullying situations in which your child is invovled. You can explore on your own or together with your children.

 

  • NJ Coalition for Bullying Awareness and Prevention - This site for parents and educators promotes awareness of bullying and advocates for effective prevention of bullying

  • Anti-bullying network - Kids and their families and teachers will find helpful advice and reading lists here

  • Bully Free Kids - Offers daily "bully-free living" tips which provide advice about how to improve one's self esteem and build resilience

  • Bullying42explore - Basic info on copying with bullying for school age kids, parents and teachers. Includes links, webquests and other activities

  • Cyberbullying - This site is designed to raise awareness of cyberbullying for children and their parents

  • Stop bullying now - Good information about bullying prevention with information specific for kids and for adults. Includes animated websites and games for elementary and middle school kids

  • What's wrong with bullying? - This site for middle school students helps raise awareness of bullying behavior, what to do it you encounter it, and how to handle it
